What is kidtold?+
kidtold lets your child create one main character and then star that character in read-aloud stories they direct. The character remembers what happens from story to story.
What ages is it for?+
kidtold is designed for children aged 3 to 10. Younger children enjoy read-aloud stories a grown-up helps steer; older children read along and direct their own adventures.
How is this different from other story apps?+
Most apps generate disposable one-off tales. kidtold builds a persistent character with real continuity: skills, friends, pets and big firsts carry forward without contradictions.
Is it safe for my child?+
Yes. Every generated story passes automated safety checks before your child sees it. There are no ads, no data selling, and no chat with other users. See our Safety page.
Do you record my child’s voice?+
No. Narration is synthesized on the device and we never record your child’s voice.
How does signing up work?+
A parent creates the account and subscribes here on the web. That subscription is also our verified-parental-consent step. You then unlock the app for your child.
